Having lies shoved down my throat distresses me

Not my pic
Overpopulation is one of the few/first issues (lies) that I've taken time to look into this semester. However, I unfortunately don't have enough time because I'm supposed to be working on a SOC paper right now!

I've picked up that it's a lie from little things that I've heard over the years and I'm no expert as to why it is, but I these little things that I just read and watched make sense:

The Overpopulation Lie

"Overpopulation the lie!! Never happen!!"

7 Billion people - will everyone please relax

Poverty - where we all started

I googled "why is overpopulation a lie." You could do the same.

God said, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it," but didn't make an earth big enough for that to happen? Didn't He provide ways for the ecological/agricultural/whatever-I'm-not-a-scientist (yet. haaha) systems to deal with people actually taking His advice/command?

YEAH. RIGHT.

homework time.

PS: This lie supports abortion.
PPS: I'm all for responsibly reducing greedy wastefulness the way these doom-sayers suggest, just for different reasons.

"Detoxifying our lives & food is not a reward"

Oh my gosh! That ^^ is the name of a Jillian Michael's show episode. Her podcasts were free on itunes (probably) last month, maybe they still are! I haven't even finished listening to it, but it is incredible! (35 minutes through & there are 17 left.)
She starts out by talking about cancer & explaining that cancer is plainly the mutation of our cells. Our cells don't know what to do with the thousands of chemicals we're dumping in and on ourselves!! (Amen!) Cleaning, hygiene, beauty, and "food" products are the most popular! (And that food is in quotes because is it really food if it's full of chemicals?!?!) She mentions numerous toxic things in our lives like: cotton/polyester blend sheets (supposedly they give off formaldehyde); pesticide filled fruits & vegetables that are really only healthy when they're organic (potatoes, strawberries, local blueberries, imported nectarines, lettuce, spinach, that's all I really remember); dry cleaning chemicals; weed killer and more! She mentioned cleaning with vinegar, tea tree oil, and hydrogen peroxide. Cleaning with tea tree is new to me! I'll have to check that out =) Hydrogen peroxide: I just saw on Pinterest that mixing it with something else gets armpit stains out well. Vinegar: I love using it =)

The second topic of the show started when I lady called in saying that she rewards herself with a Rolo McFlurry when her job is bothering her. So many people think about the amazing flavor and how "good" they feel when they're treating themselves, but then feel horrible about themselves afterwards every time! So Jillian encouraged this lady to think through the whole eating process, including the "I feel like a fat failure now," and to let those thoughts stop her. She also suggested this lady should think rewarding non-food-items to save her money for (mani/pedi/shopping.) I would totally get a massage! I like how she thinks!

I absolutely loved when she mentioned doctors just treating sicknesses and symptoms instead of looking into why the patient has the problem! I've heard it before (maybe on the Alex Jones show?) and she said it too: Doctor's just aren't trained to be like this. (I'm sure some are, but the majority aren't.)

I gather that she eats a lot of organic food, and obviously she's probably a millionaire and we're not. But she pointed out that the same people who complain about not being able to afford organic are the same ones that spend $3-5 at Starbucks each day! Making healthy choices does mean sacrifice!

I just want to spend my life doing the things she talked about and teaching others how to also!

PS: I've loved this nutmeg, honey, cinnamon mask! I've used it twice and I'm shocked that my face looks better! It's so hard to even describe! It just looks clearer and the pores next to my nose look healthier and I just love it! I wonder what cocoa powder will do?! There are so many anti-oxidants in it!

I need ideas

I really want to re-purpose these, I just don't have enough ideas of what to do with them:

I really don't care anymore that I wrote good fire safety essays in 6th & 7th grade.
For the right one, I could totally put a picture on top of that "plate." It would just be nice if I could put it on in a removable way...
I've also thought of putting some sort of stone, shell, or ribbon on that inch of wood that's around the plating.
I don't know what to do with the left one...that FD plate pops up a bit...
I thought of spray painting them, but the wood is pretty nice.
Suggestions??

I also just made pumpkin butter and I'm not sure what it should be eaten with/on. (By the way, I used honey instead of sucanat or sugar, and I accidentally didn't reduce the amount.) I've been intending to make these Honey Whole Wheat Mini Loaves, but do I really THAT much sweetness?!?! (Love that bread, by the way.) Not sure how I feel about this pumpkin butter yet, I tried it before I cooked it at all, haha. If I don't like it, I'll just freeze it and throw it in some recipe that calls for pumpkin.
...Actually, I just tried it....I don't think I like it. (I don't like apple butter either, yet I love homemade applesauce.)
I'll probably just make the bread for Thanksgiving and not bring the butter.

Kashi GOLEAN

Why would I ever eat a candy bar when I could eat this?!?! :

not my pic

There IS mechanically fractionated palm kernel oil in it....so that's weird, but I think it's definitely better than a ....Butterfinger.
Nutritional comparison:

calories/g fat/g carbs/g fiber/g protein/g sugar/g
Butter-finger 4.6 0.19 0.73 0.02 0.05 0.46
PB choc golean 3.6 0.1 0.5 0.1 0.15 0.22

I wouldn't call this a good breakfast, but give it to me any day for dessert!
I thought GoLean would be much more expensive than Butterfinger (and they are in single bars), but GoLEAN's are 19 cents cheaper if you get a 12 pack! =)
1 Butterfinger = .79
1 GoLEAN = $1.49
12 GoLEAN's = $13.99

Good little bar to get me through the second half of pre-Calc when I feel like I'll raid the dining hall if I wait any longer!
